The Guillotine Hog Trap is ideal for positive catching of target animals.  Once the target animal has entered the cage and triggered the door it cannot escape as the door cannot be opened from the inside. Guillotine Door Hog Traps are recommended for hard to catch animals as no pre-baiting is needed, once the animal enters the trap and triggers the door the door gravity takes over and the door slams shut before the target animal has time to react.

Caution: Guillotine Hog Traps should not be operated by persons under 16 years of age. Guillotine Door Hog Traps are not recommended for use in areas where the public can come into contact with the trap or if domestic animals may enter the trap. Extreme Caution must be used when operating this trap.

Door Safety Pin Feature:

Guillotine Hog Trap Doors require extra care when raising, lowering or setting the trigger release system to prevent injury to fingers. Our Guillotine Hog Trap Doors come standard with built-in high quality Door Handles that aid in preventing getting fingers caught in moving parts. Raising the Guillotine Hog Trap Door is as easy as reaching down and grasping the built in handle and lifting up on the door. When the door is raised to the full open position the Door Safety Pin can be inserted preventing the door from accidentally falling (Note:  The Door Safety Pin must be in place when entering the Trap).  Pic 1. Door Lock Feature:

Our large easy to grasp Door Lock handle prevents the door from being rooted up after the Traps Door has been triggered. Once the target animal is trapped it cannot open the door.

Door Handle Feature:

Our built in Door Handle aids in preventing injury to fingers from moving parts. Care must always be taken when opening or closing the Guillotine Hog Trap Door to prevent injury to fingers or pinching. The Doors built in Handle is angled away from the Door to keep fingers and clothing from being snagged.
